They say that they learned that the ChatGPT Browse beta can occasionally display content in ways they don’t want. For example, if a user specifically asks for a URL’s full text, it might fulfill this request without website owner’s permission.
So, as of July 3, 2023, they have disabled the Browse with Bing beta feature as a caution. They are working to bring this beta feature back.
Exact date is not known. But we can expect this feature back soon.
Now you might think that it was not necessary. Because website owners can block bots from ChatGPT as described in following article.

But this method blocks ChatGPT plugins to access the website. And Browse with Bing is not a plugin. That is why this feature was removed from ChatGPT for now.
Although chatgpt plus users may be missing this feature. If you are a chatgpt plus user and you want to access a url or website, you can still do so. Alternative to Browse with Bing, is a chatgpt plugin. From chatgpt plugins search ‘browse’, and install ‘Link Reader’ plugin.
This plugin can do similar as Browse with Bing used to do. Tell it to read article online and it does. If you were using Browse with Bing feature, you can use this plugin alternatively. And this is not an issue. Because this is a plugin and chatgpt plugins can be blocked from accessing a website.
If a website owner does not want to expose his website content to chatgpt, he can block bots and crawlers from chatgpt plugins. Here Choice is still in the hands of website owner.
