Early Saturday morning, during the Jewish holiday of Simhat Torah, Islamist terrorist organizations launched a combined attack from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip into Israeli territories. As of Sunday Hamas continues launching missiles into cities surrounding the Gaza strip, targeting civilians. The IDF (Israel Defense Force) retaliated by targeting Hamas installations inside the Palestinian enclave. Israel was able to release dozens of hostages that were held captive inside Israeli territory, but according to reports, there are still hundreds of hostages inside Gaza itself.
